The Georgia K, Pre-K and Early Learning Standards, which are aligned with elementary grades, are the curriculum foundation. Beginning Fall 2012, the Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten will be implemented at that level. The Standards provide both developmental and academic emphasis. The Starfall Kindergarten and Pre-K Curriculums are a primary source. Implementation is through thematic units in age appropriate learning centers and both small and large group activities. Teachers regularly evaluate progress and design classroom work in units within these parameters integrating teaching for children on all levels. Bible stories and scripture verses coordinate with units to provide an environment in which children can grow as Jesus grew.
