Great fellowship and music making that glorifies Christ Our Lord are the primary goals of First Baptist's adult Handbell choir,

Bronze Praise.

We meet weekly on Thursdays at 7 o'clock pm for an hour of rehearsal time in the 2nd floor bell choir room, and we ring for the congregation approximately four to six times each year.  Our choir attends at least one regional handbell festival a year in order to improve our skills and to enjoy worship time together with handbell choirs from around the state of Georgia.  

Participation in Bronze Praise is open to both experienced and beginner ringers. 

Ability to read music is a plus, but not a requisite.

There is no up-front cost to participate, however, ringers may be asked to purchase choir shirts and will definitely provide for their own housing at Festival 2009.

If you'd like to participate but cannot do so on a regular basis, we very much welcome your commitment to serve on our substitute ringer list.  You'll be contacted by permanent ringers when schedule conflicts arise for them, and if the date doesn't work for you, you may decline to sub.
