Student Ministry
When it comes to raising teenagers, there’s no easy way to do it. Some days are more challenging than others. But you don’t have to go through it alone. The Student Ministry at FBC Newnan wants to come alongside you and your family to encourage you and equip you for the God-given responsibility of raising and discipling your teenager. We do that through a multitude of ways including:
First Baptist Church Newnan, GA
- A Sunday School class just for parents of teenagers
- Weekly e-mails with family devotionals
- Midweek gatherings for your student with an energetic atmosphere and relevant messages
- Trained and vetted adults who want to help mentor your teen
- Fun and exciting events all throughout the year
- Opportunities to serve and give back to your community
Our Student Ministry exists to make an IMPACT in the lives of students, their families, and the world for the sake of the Gospel:
- By teaching students find their identity in Christ (Galatians 2:20).
- By equipping parents to influence their teenagers through biblical discipleship. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7).
- By sending families to invite others to know Jesus as Lord. (Matthew 28:19-20).
Sunday
9:40am
Sunday morning small groups takes place in the Warehouse at 9:40AM. We meet in the auditorium for announcements of upcoming events and pray together as a student ministry. Then, we dismiss to separate Middle and High School small groups divided by grade.
We use The Gospel Project for Students from LifeWay as our curriculum on Sunday mornings. Students are searching for the truth, and what they desperately need is the hope of the gospel. This is why we use The Gospel Project’s Christ-centered, chronological Bible studies as we continuously trace the need for redemption in the stories of the Bible and in students’ stories, too.
Wednesday
7:00pm
IMPACT is the name of our student ministry, as well as the name of our midweek gathering for Middle and High School students. We meet at 7PM in the auditorium of the Warehouse. IMPACT focuses on creating a fun and safe atmosphere for students, along with relevant and inspiring messages that will help them in their walk with God.
We offer special programs just for middle school students starting at 6:15PM in the upper floor of the Warehouse; Challengers is our boys’ program, and Acteens is our girls’ program. These groups are designed to teach students about local and international missions, as well as providing opportunities to serve.
