Sanctuary Choir
Wednesday 7:05pm Main Sanctuary
Come celebrate the joy of the Lord as we lead our church family in worship through song. Sanctuary Choir is open to all adults, regardless of musical experience or church membership.
Each Wednesday, we gather to learn new music, encourage one another, and prepare to lead worship in our 10:50 a.m. Sunday service. With a wide variety of musical styles and a welcoming, family atmosphere, there’s a place for everyone to use their gifts in praising God.
Throughout the year, the choir also presents seasonal and special music as we seek to glorify Christ through excellence in worship.
Orchestra
Wednesday 6:30pm – 7:30pm Main Sanctuary
The FBC Orchestra welcomes brass, woodwind, string, and percussion players who desire to use their musical gifts in worship. Join us each week for fellowship, musical growth, and the joy of leading our church family in worship.
The orchestra rehearses weekly and serves in the 10:50 a.m. worship service, accompanying congregational singing and presenting special music throughout the year, including Christmas, Easter, and our Freedom Celebration.
Students in 7th grade and above are welcome to participate based on their playing ability.
Handbells
Adult Handbells (Bronze Praise)

Great fellowship and music making that glorifies Christ Our Lord are the primary goals of First Baptist’s adult Handbell choir, Bronze Praise.
We meet weekly for an hour of rehearsal time in the 2nd floor bell choir room and we lead in worship approximately 6 to 8 times each year. Our choir attends at least one regional handbell festival a year in order to improve our skills and to enjoy worship time together with handbell choirs from around the state of Georgia.
Participation in Bronze Praise is open to experienced ringers. Ability to read music is prerequisite. If you cannot ring on a regular basis we welcome your commitment to serve on our substitute ringer list.
Chimes for Christ – Children’s Handbells
Wednesday 4:15-5:00pm | 311C
This group rings our hand-chimes as they begin learning melody and group ringing.
Comprehension of treble and bass cleft ringing, dynamics and rhythm are taught in this beginning group.
Revelation Handbells – Middle School
Wednesday 4:15 – 5:00pm | 316C
Open for 6th – 8th grades, this handbell choir will learn the fundamentals of handbell ringing and technique as well as continuing music theory.
Senior High Handbells
Sunday 3:00-4:00pm | 316C
Open for 9th – 12th grades who are ready for the next level with more complex musical selections. This group attends the state handbell festival in the spring and tours each year with the Sr. High Choir in June.
Children’s Choirs – Age 3 through Grade 8
Wednesday 5:30-6:15pm
Our Children’s Choir Ministry is part of Foundations, our Wednesday evening ministry dedicated to building foundations for long-lasting faith in the next generation. Through music, children learn that worship is more than singing songs—it is a lifelong response to who God is and what He has done.
Each Wednesday evening, children gather in age-graded choirs where they develop their God-given musical abilities while growing in their understanding of biblical worship. Rehearsals include singing, music literacy, vocal development, Scripture-centered learning, movement, instruments, and engaging activities designed to help children joyfully praise the Lord.
Children also participate in the larger Foundations experience, where they are encouraged to know God’s Word, understand the Gospel, and develop a heart for missions. Together, these four foundations help equip children to become lifelong followers of Christ.
Our Children’s Choirs are divided into four age groups:
- Pre-K3–Kindergarten
- 1st–3rd Grade
- 4th–5th Grade
- 6th–8th Grade
Throughout the year, each choir has opportunities to lead in worship services and participate in seasonal presentations, giving children the joy of using their musical gifts to serve the church and glorify God.
Introducing Student Worship Collective!

We’re excited to launch a new opportunity for students who love music and want to grow in leading others in worship.
Student Worship Collective combines vocal training, small ensemble singing, and hands-on worship band instruction. Whether you already sing or play an instrument—or you’ve always wanted to learn—there’s a place for you! Experienced coaches will help students develop their musical skills while growing as Christ-centered worship leaders.
Our goal is simple: to equip the next generation to use their gifts for God’s glory in student worship, Sunday services, and wherever He leads. Come learn, grow, and worship with us!
Senior High Choir
Sundays | 4:00-5:30pm | 319C
This choir is a major service choir, singing often for both morning worship services. They participate in the annual Georgia Baptist Youth Choir Festival and annual mission trips. This choir tours each June and follows the mission given in Acts 1:8 “and you will be my witnessess in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the utter most parts.” Thus each tour is either local in the state, intrastate, national or international.This choir has traveled internationally to Europe (2005), Japan (2009) and South Africa (2013) and Mystery Tours (as in no one knows where we are going) to New Orleans (2006), Arizona-Grand Canyon (2010) and San Francisco (2014). Choir provides opportunities to utilize talents and prepare for a lifetime of Christian service and fellowship as students memorize the truths from God’s word through song and share God’s love through word, deed or through music.
The Gospel Choir

The Gospel Choir is made up of all adult ages and sings gospel hymns and songs, pray with and for one another and share in scripture from God’s Holy word. This is a casual hour of fun, song and prayer. We sing a favorite song the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s in the 8:30 am worship service. Come join us!
Middle School Choir

Revelation Choir provides a supportive place for growth spiritually, and socially, as well as musically during these years of changing voice and approaching adulthood for these youth. They also participate in activities such as festivals, retreats, and musical dramas planned just for them, as well as singing for worship services.
