First Baptist Family
Jeremiah 29:7 calls us to “seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you,” and at FBC Newnan, we take this command to heart.
One of the most impactful ways we can bring “Life in Christ to Every Generation” is by being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community:
- Heart of the City: Our schools are the heart of this city, shaping the minds and futures of the next generation.
- Active Contribution: By encouraging, serving, and supporting our principals, teachers, and the entire school system, we are actively contributing to the well-being of our city.
- Making a Tangible Difference: Whether it’s through providing resources, offering a listening ear, or simply showing up to lend a hand, we have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who educate our children.
- Living Out Christ’s Love: Let’s embrace this mission with joy and purpose, knowing that in doing so, we are living out the love of Christ in a way that transforms not just individuals, but our entire community.
In Christ,
Pastor Joel
What Are The Bless Our Schools Initiative Core Values?
Serve
“As a church, we are called to embody the love of Christ through acts of service. By intentionally finding ways to serve our principals, teachers, and school system, we can be a blessing to those who work tirelessly to educate the next generation. Whether it’s providing meals, helping with classroom needs, or simply offering a helping hand, our acts of kindness can make a significant impact.”
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:28
Encourage
“Words have the power to uplift and inspire. We have a wonderful opportunity to write letters of specific encouragement to the leaders of our school system. Let’s also seek out ways to publicly honor those principals and teachers who are making a remarkable difference in the lives of students. Our words of affirmation can provide the strength and motivation they need to keep going.”
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Support
“Our time and energy are valuable resources that can greatly support the administration staff and school functions. Whether it’s volunteering at events, assisting with administrative tasks, or simply being present at school functions, we can show our commitment to the well-being of our schools. Let’s stand alongside those who shape the future of our community by offering our unwavering support.”
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16
