Big Idea:  Peace and satisfaction are found in trusting our Heavenly Father.

1: God Alone Has the Power to Provide for Our Needs

Matthew 6:25-27 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

Worry isn’t just an emotional reaction; it reveals what we believe about God.

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

We don’t have to hustle for what God has already promised to provide.

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).

2: God Loves Us and Personally Knows Our Needs

Matthew 6:28-30 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?”

God isn’t just a Creator who makes things functional; He is a Father who makes things beautiful.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).

3: God Has a Greater Eternal Purpose for Our Lives

Matthew 6:31-34
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

When we make God’s kingdom the central focus of our lives, everything else falls into place.

We can face each day with confidence, knowing our future is secure in Christ.
